Abstract Title:
"Lightining induced infrasonic waves at geomagnetic equator" |
Abstract:
We are studying the infrasonic waves at the geomagnetic equatorial station. The lightining activity is significant during the north-east monsoon over south India. We are also measuring the ionospheric parameters as well as earth's magnetic filed. The severe cloud to ground lightining has taken place and this phenomena has produced infrasonic waves. The signal analysis during the lightining activity has shown that the infrasonic waves of period about 100 seconds. The detailed analysis is in progress. The earth's magnetic field also shows the departure in normal variation. This could be the lightining induced infrasonic waves influence on the earth's magnetic field. The detailed results will be presented during the workshop. |
