Abstract Title:

"ON EXPERIENCE IN USING THE PSEUDODIFFERENTIAL PARABOLIC EQUATION METHOD TO STUDY THE PROBLEMS OF LONG-RANGE INFRASOUND PROPAGATION IN THE ATMOSPHERE "
Abstract:

The possibilities of using of the pseudodifferential parabolic equation method to study long-range sound propagation in the atmosphere are considered. Some examples of calculation of pulsed signals for the infrasonic frequency range are given. The calculation results are compared with the experimental data obtained in recording infrasonic signals (from surface explosions) within the zones of acoustic shadow and audibility. A satisfactory agreement is noted between the experimental data and calculation results.
