Abstract Title:
"Design of Infrasound Detection and Parameter Estimation Systems" |
Abstract:
The design of sparse infrasound arrays is still an important issue in the context of the CTBT. The experience with some installed arrays is gradually growing. The aim is not only to design better arrays, but also at the same time used the arrays with better detectors and parameter estimators. Combination of array and detector/estimator design leads possibly to a better optimum under existing boundary conditions such as costs and computing power. We investigated both theoretically and experimentally a variety of array configurations in combination with the F-detector. The main conclusion so far is that the infrasound arrays can be smaller and should contain more elements than the existing designs. |
