Abstract Title:

"Statistical detection of meteor showers using data from the Swedish infrasound network"
Abstract:

The present report describes a possible method for statistical detection of meteor showers. The method is based on the principal component analysis (PCA) of recorded infrasound variables as the angle-of-arrival, the phase velocity and the cross-correlation between microphones. The infrasound data from the Swedish network of observing stations: Uppsala, Lycksele, Jamton and Kiruna are used in the present study. One of studied meteor showers is the Leonid shower observed both in 2001 and 2002.
